decision making
The class activity of decision making was frustrating, but at least we got some results at the end. When we dealt with decision making process, we tended to come out of possible outcome in spontaneous and flexible way. we jumped ideas one to one, although we were not confident if we could get some outcome that we all agreed. The leader tried to present problem and asked individual's respond. we all tended to give idea that it is best for ourselves so that the conflicts would come out. How to handle these conflicts that it was important for us . Different personality handled the conflict differently. some people focused on their own interest so they had to strive to get attention on their ideas; some people just compromised because their ideas did not accept by most of people; some people withdrew their ideas because they knew thast they did not have chance. People alway have different goals in decision making process so it is important for us to collaborate and negotiate between conglicts.

I think it is very natural for person to defend his/her interest. The question is what strategy the person use to defend his/her interest and if the person have capability and willingness to compromise with others. In my opinion, we did very well in our decision making lesson. In spite of big number of student with different interests and temperament, we found a compromise and come to conclusion for short period of time.
ReplyDeleteI agree that compromise benefits to all even the most self-centered people. As a little benefit is better than no benefit at all. I think that everyone in the class realized that and that's why we finally had agreed on one decision.
ReplyDeleteThats right , a person will always defend his/her interest. In a group its even harder, because the person will always want the right of will to have his/her decision presented to the class. The only way decisions will benefit in a group is if everyone tries to work together to put all their thoughts and actions together.
